Do I have to reapply thermal compound ??

While installing my cooler mastre masterliquid lite i was not able to hold properly so I lifted up the heatsink to have a better grip and the continue with the instalation. I was wondering if it is bad for my cpu ?. should I clean the thermalpaste and reapply it?.

The lazy gambler way to do it is go ahead and put it together like that. Stress test it. If temps look fine then you're good to go. If temps look high, reapply. If it were me though I'd clean if off and reapply it now. I hate having to go back and fix things that could have been done right at the start.
