I have 1 SSD for OS, 1 HDD that came with the PC and another SSD that I use to install games on. I used the PC at night and I woke up this morning to see that the second SSD I mentioned was completely wiped out, and not in the way you just delete everything and there are traces of files left, in disk management it's 100% free space. The games belong and were installed using a very popular launcher which I don't know if I'm allowed to mention, let's just say the name is similar to hailstorm. The SSD is not even 1 month old.

Could it be viruses or should I look for my pitchfork against windows update?

Thank you in advance!

Alright, if all the people here are like you two, it's clear I'm not gonna get any help from this website. If this is what matters to you more than the problem itself, so be it. It's the Blizzard launcher, and the games that were on the SSD were World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.
I was already pretty upset about it and I get answers like "LOL U STULE GAMEZ LMFAO". It's good to know what's become of this once wonderful website.
I got myself a recovery software and managed to save the settings, because that's what was most important. I was interested in finding out more about the problem.

So thank you, but no thank you.

Why would there be any problem mentioning Blizzard launcher?
It's because you tried to hide it, people assumed there's something illegal about it.

As to about the problem - what SSD model was it (the one that got wiped)?
Did you install any firmware update for this SSD?

^ as above, you games trying to hide it will make people interested in what you are using.

So the blizzard launcher, great, highly unlikely that's an issue.

Do the smart characteristics show anything? Start making backups. I'm not sure I would trust that drive anymore. Was it a clean shutdown the last time you turned off, no power failures etc?
