I currently have the Asus Transformer TF700T which is obviously more than a few years old. I was tempted to pick up the new Amazon Fire HD 10 but was unsure if it would be an upgrade.

I havent really seen anyone compare the 2 outside of general specs but they dont seem too different.

the amazon app store is very limited as opposed to play store. but if there are only a few apps you need from play store you can always sideload them onto the tablet

Thanks. Yeah, one reason I was considering the Fire HD 10 was because it had 2gb of RAM as opposed to the 1gb with the ASUS Transformer

Im not sure I see a huge benefit in the Google Play store as opposed to Amazon's. Ia there something I'm missing?
