https://i.imgur.com/oXWpxZG.jpg Theres a picture. A pre-built standoff in my case isnt aligning perfectly with the mobo will this not let it boot? i mean i installed the other standoffs my self manually and they seem to be aligned fine/screwed in fine? i cant seem to get it to align perfectly because i cant push the mobo down any further cause of the IO shield

You could remove all of the other standoff screws, and then start putting them back in loosely. Then perhaps the one in your picture can be lined up. If that works, then you could go around the motherboard and slowly tighten the screws a little bit at a time. This may force the case back into shape, but it could put some stress on the motherboard, so you can try this at your own risk.

Many builders first assemble the entire pc outside of the case, on a non-conductive surface (wood, cardboard). Then if it boots up and everything works fine, assemble it inside the case. This allows you to see that everything is plugged in securely (like the graphics card is seated fully in the Pcie slot. Sometimes it is harder to see if everything...

If its not perfectly aligned will it prevent it from booting?

Well this is a first time built PC (i got all the wiring and everything correct) because all the fans were spinning and leds were lighting up, but it wouldnt connect to a monitor (no signal) so i took it to geek squad and they said it was DOA and i just got a new one today. So im just trying to rule out everything here. If it has no bearing on booting im not gonna bother with it.

Edit: Just making sure, i dont have too correct it right?

It is not necessary to use all the standoffs, leaving one out will not be an issue. If you can, remove it from the case.

"but it wouldnt connect to a monitor (no signal)"
If you are using a dedicated gpu make sure you are connecting the monitor to that and not to the on-board graphics on the motherboard.

Remove that standoff if you can and just don't use one their.

Sometimes it is harder to see if everything is seated properly once inside the case due to a lack of space - sight lines.
