Loud bang computer

I was installing my new hard drive in my new (unplugd) pc and i needed to move the graphic card out of the way so i went to push the button thath holds the graphic card with my screwdriver ( and i toucht the powersupply thath i used to de-electirfied and went in with a screwdriver and i herd a loud loud bang (like a firecracker) but no smell anywere no smoke and everything seems fine visually and smelly no capacitors thath i can see are blown , psu seems ok everything seems ok , turns on normally and everything is seemingly ok so WHAT HAPPEND THATH COUSED THATH LOUD BANG ???

Core i7-8700k
Coolermaster V8 versinon 2
Corsair RM650i
Gskill trident Z RGB 3000mzh
All new except Gtx 1080 founders edition

What happend ?????

Sounds you accidentally created a miniature black hole that collapsed in on itself almost as soon as it formed. Happens all the time....

But really though, that is odd, and my first guess is that a cap blew. Problem is, without opening the power supply it'd be hard to tell if any in there blew or not. If the PSU is under warranty DONT open it. Chances are, if a cap blew in the PSU, it might run okay under no load, but as soon as you start a game or any other power intensive operation your system should become very unstable. So, that's my suggestion to you, do a burn in test (furmark for example) and see what happens.

Update : did a furmark test and prime 95 and unigine and everything seems fine all the temps and everything but now it makes a high pitch noise and when i went to swich off the power supply i heard static and when i turn on the powersupply my keyboard and mouse lit up for a sec and a power on button on the moatherboard so any ideas now ?

Update :disesembeld a pc and with a clouser wisual inspection nothing is wrong , let the pc cool and smelld it and no smell whatsoever just the metal and plastic smell assembeld it again and i descoverd thath the Coolermaster V8 is the sound of a high pitch so i changed it to DC in bios and now everything sounds normal



SO WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND ?
