Clicking Noise in New HDD

My is PC dual core 2nd gen (g630) and motherboard is intel. my old HDD died with clicking noise. then i bought new SSD and its working fine. after i bought seagate 1TB HDD. and When i plug it into pc it also giving Clicking Noise. But some times it start to working when i unplug and plug it again. My PC Have several issues may be these things cause problem but not sure.
1)in motherboard 2 sata ports not working
2)Sata power cable have onle 4 wires
3)power supply kind a old
I have warranty for my new HDD but i want to make sure HDD have the issue. now i plans to buy new motherboard and power-supply or change the HDD.can anyone tell me what should i do

Hi gvwems! Sorry to see that you are experiencing trouble with the drive. There could be several issues causing this situation. You may want to test the HDD on another computer, use another cable, and check the power requirements for the drive as you state your power supply is a bit outdated. If you are able to test the HDD on another computer run our free Seatools Software to check the health of the drive and possibly discard it as the problem. Best of luck.
