Hey Everyone,

I have a family friend that uses an old Windows 98 machine. I am replacing his system with a Pentium 4 machine running Windows 98 because his current machine is starting to crash and he is just wanting to replace it. However, he uses a certain software that is ran using MS DOS. I am wanting to pretty much move that program and all of his files over to his new system. What would be the best way of transferring this information over? Being that the software is old and isn't supported anymore I wouldn't be able to find the exe to install the software onto his new computer.

I would just clone the drives using Clonezilla. Pull the drive from the old machine, attach it to new computer using USB enclosure or install it in the new computer as a second drive, then boot with Clonezilla CD and clone the old to new. New machine will be exactly the same as the old one. Only issue you may run into is the new computer will have different hardware and you will probably need to find drivers for it after you do this.

This was my initial idea. However, I wanted to check if there was any other way of doing this.
Thank you!

He is an 80 year old man and has started to learn the newer software. However, he isn't really fond of change and he hasn't had the time to stop and teach his self the new software quite yet. So he is just wanting something newer than his current AMD Durion CPU and a little more RAM.
