Is this chip still good for running new games, and future games? I have the ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H61M-A (LGA1155) motherboard and I'm looking to upgrade the chip and looking for suggestions if this chip is not up to par.

Yes, with a decent gpu like a gtx 1050 or higher you could still get 50 to 60fps on games like bf1 and cod ww2, it will in the near future start to show its age a little more to be expected but it will still game for sure
