I got this computer off of craigslist and theirs one main problem computer turns on but show no display.
So I don't if the cpu(i2 core) is compatible with the mother board (msi z97 mate).
The mother board the place where the CPU goes copper pins were bent in some place so I straightened them as best as I could.
I took the CMOS out, ram out and tried new ram hdd too. Put the.HDMI directly in the mother board. Tried different gpu but know of that work.

No such thing as an i2. Theres a Core 2 Duo but your z97 motherboard is too new for that generation.

The 3 might look like a 2 with a bit rubbed out. What other numbers do you see?

When a gpu is present the motherboard usually disables onboard graphics and the graphics card takes priority.

Can change display order in the bios. The usual options in the bios are

Igpu/onboard only graphics

Pcie/peg only graphics card

Or both/auto detect, which means wherever the video cable is connected will be the default display.

If bios defaults to the graphics card only, need to remove it to get onboard graphics to work until you change the setting in bios to run both simultaneously.

Bent pins doesn't sound good and probably wouldn't know if it was working before buying if you found the cpu in that condition.

Which cpu do you have? There are no i2's. If you meant i3 then we need to know which generation of i3, there are quite a few with different motherboard requirements.

When trying a graphics card, connect hdmi cable to graphics card and not motherboard
