I installed a Ryzen 3 2200G APU, DDR4 memory and hard drive onto an ASRock AB350 Pro4 motherboard. However, it will not boot from my Windows 10 USB stick. Do I need a GPU? Do I need a BIOS update?

Solution
The 2200G is a brand new released cpu and all boards manufactured before any 2200G bios release will require a bios update. This'll get funky with some ppl, as they buy a mobo, but it's one that's been on a shelf for a few months, stock rotation being negligible, so new boards do have the new bios, but that older stock doesn't. Same board. Expect this to happen many times until old stock is finally rotated out, but until that happens it's pot luck with new release cpus.

You have 2 options. Either have a shop stick in a Ryzen 1st gen and use that cpu to upgrade the bios, or borrow a friend's Ryzen 1st gen and upgrade the bios yourself.
