Lately my HP omen laptop has been getting random lags spikes from a normal 130+ FPS to around 40 for a solid 15 seconds, before jumping back. I wondered why this was so i jumped onto HWMonitor to find my CPU running at very close to 100 degrees Celcius. I have an i7 7700HQ, GTX1050ti which lingers around 80 degrees. Im not playing any intensive games as such, just some rocket league.
I've run some testing, while in a normal match of rocket league:
Using HWMonitor:
CPU: 95-100 degrees
GPU: 80 degrees
Using Speedfan:
Fan1: 4800RPM
Fan2: 100RPM (pretty sure this is the problem)
Task manager:
CPU usage: 45-50%
GPU usage: 99%
