Looks like faizk66 sorta forgot he posted. Spring break?
In the mean time, how do you like your CX600M PSU and what did it cost you? I'm building a handy spare computer for emergency's sake. I like getting info from users rather than trust commercial ads. Thanks.

Possibly.

It is decent. Perhaps overkill. My components would not take more than 400W under load and that is a stretch. It is not the newer version, so it is pretty average. If you are building new, and have low power units, then go for it. Otherwise, it is better to get a well-rated unit, regardless of components. PSU was a mistake on my part because I actually had one, then it crapped out on me within two years, so I got a new one of the exact same model.

I am not from USA, so the price is different.

Thanks and yeah, I'm sort of scarping this computer together. But I need a good PSU for the heart of the system. I had to learn the hard way. I had a few PSUs a few years back that were pretty lousy, one was suppose to be good turned out bad, one that fried my system and another that fired itself.
So I started asking around. A friend of mine has a CX750 he's had 4 years. He likes it but I'm like you, don't need a huge amount of power. I don't want to invest a lot since it's not going to be a workhorse but still quality means a lot. My last spare computer was an old modified Dell that lasted 9 yrs. It started out as a case full of bad parts and dust my neighbor gave me. Lol. I've pulled it out of the closet many times. At least 3 or 4 times a year for various stretches of time. I don't know what I'd do without a 'spare tire' like that.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind.
