[SOLVED] My controller doesn't work (MacBook)

I have a Macbook pro and I've been playing with a microsoft controller for the past 2 days and it was fine. Now, every time I try to sync it disconnects to the little receptor connected to the computer (the controller is wireless so it needs to sync to a little remote). Why is this happening? Can someone help me to get this working again?

What has changed since you were using it and it was working? Have you tried another USB port? May have to go to the manufactures website to update the software or GUI for it. How old is the controller? Are the batteries fresh?
