I have a dell inspiron 15 7559 with a realtek PCie GBE family controller. My internet speed is supposed to be 175mbps download but all my speed tests on my laptop (while connected with ethernet) show around 85-90mbps. I've tried multiple browsers and speed tests but nothing changes. So i started diving into the settings and changing things their. I'm fairly certain my card is capable of higher speeds since in the settings under advanced and in the speed and duplex option i can set it to 1Gbps Full duplex. But even changing that does nothing. I know my internet is good because on wi-fi on my laptop im getting around 102-110 mbps and on my phone i can get around 150-160. Besides that I had the internet guy come to my apartment and test it. Sorry this is a long post but I'm frustrated and don't know what to do next! Please help!

Edit: I'm using a CAT5E cable so it's not that either.

Solution
Is your Ethernet cable CAT5?, which is limited to 100 Mbps. Or perhaps the card in your laptop is limited to 100. (tried to look up what card it is but all the specifications I found just list Ethernet.
