Upgrade to which i5?

so i have an i3 7100 (with stock cooler) and i want to upgrade to an i5, im thinking of an i5 7600k or an i5 7500, i dont plan to overclock but the i5 7600k seems to better just for the base speeds

so is it a better choice to use an i5 7600k with the i3 stock until i get a proper cpu cooler

or should i get a i5 7500?

If you do not plan to OC; it is then depending on the price difference between 7600k and 7500.
If the difference is under 20 bucks, I would go with 7600k.
If the difference is more than 20 bucks, I would go only with 7500.
The stock frequency difference is not that noticeable or not worth the price difference.
Some hardcore gamers, even if they do not OC, will still pick 7600k, since any single extra fps is valuable to them.
