i thinking of upgrading my gtx 470 to a gtx 1060 .but i noticed that some 1060 dont have 2 dvi port.i currently have 2 monitors hook up thru dvi on the 470.what would be the best way to hook them up if the new card only has one dvi port
I'm not aware of any GTX 1060 (or any other 10x0 card) with more than 1 DVI port.
If your monitor does not have HDMI/Display Port connector, you can use a DVI - HDMI cable. They are very cheap (like normal cable) and do the job.
As a side note, 470 to 1060 is not a huge upgrade. More like a minor.
Don't you want to wait a few months for the next gen cards ?

This GTX 1060 card has two DVI ports. The vast majority of 10 series cards only have one DVI port though. HDMI and Displayport is definitely the trend for newer cards.
Or as stated get a DVI to HDMI adapter for under $10 and get whatever card you want.
