Reboot and Select Proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media error/keyboard issues

I know this question has been answered on this forum before, but my scenario is a weird one. Note: this is my first time building a PC, so I might have missed something obvious. Anyways, when I finished building my computer, I had the BIOS loading screen for my MSI Z370 A-Pro motherboard pop up for a second or two, and then flash to the error in the title.

This was my first time starting up the computer, and I had not installed anything, not even the OS, which I have on a USB I bought from Microsoft (probably not the best or cheapest idea, but too late now). I saw that the error said to press a key, but when I went to press the keys listed in the motherboard manual to start up the BIOS, the keyboard was unresponsive (USB wired keyboard). I tried two different keyboards, and several different ports, but the keyboard still wouldn't work.

Now, I am in a weird situation where I need to press a key to install Windows, but my keyboard won't turn on, essentially. Also, my case (NZXT s340 Case - White) doesn't have a USB 2.0 cable for some reason, and I have tried unplugging and reconnecting the keyboard and the SATA cable connected to my hard drive. Additionally, I have a M.2 SSD installed in addition to my Seagate Barracuda 2 TB hard drive.

Is this a problem with the keyboard, a problem with my motherboard, or something else?

Note: I have not tried clearing the CMOS yet, but that also looks like it requires the keyboard as well. :(
