Hello.
my i7-4770 is cooled by corsair hydro h45 and when i play video games its reaching 85 degrees.
ive had this computer with this cooler for 4 years.
i have 3 additional fans in my case.
what should i do? should i try to repaste the thermal paste?

Solution
Make sure that there isn't any dirt/debris clogging the fins in the radiator. You can change the thermal paste as well to see if temps drop. I personally use Arctic's MX-2. On another note, might want to see if the voltages within your BIOS are as there were when you installed the system 4 years prior. Speaking of which, it'd help us if you could pass on your full system's specs.

I have had bad experience with Corsair 2 in 1 liquid coolers and the pump failing. Are your temperatures normal while it is idling? I had two corsair 2 in 1 coolers and the pump failed on both of them within 3 years. If your idle temperatures are high then it could possibly be a failed/failing pump.

i7-4770 is not overclockable, and should not be generating significant heat.
If your cooler is operating normally, I would expect to see 10-15c. over ambient.

While 85c under load is high, it is not dangerous.
The cpu will throttle or shut down if it senses a dangerous temperature.
That is around 100c.

It is unlikely that repasting will do much good.
Likely there is a clog in the pump or such.

What is your case?
How is the radiator mounted?
If you have two 120/140mm front intakes, you have sufficient airflow for a simple $35 tower type air cooler.
look at scythe kotetsu.
