I had 2x ati radeon hd 5870 and i just bought msi gtx 960. I have only 1 rig and wondered if i could put 1x radeon and the 960 at the same time mining on the radeon and gaming on the 960? I dont pay per kwh so power efficency has nothing to say
Assuming your power supply can handle it, you should be able to plug whatever monitor you're gaming on into the 960 and it will work fine. That being said we need to know your PSU before you decide to go through with it.

Should be more than enough for both of them at full load. Good luck
Have you looked at what how much you'll make mining? I'm guessing it's pennies per day. Not sure if it's worth it even though you don't pay for electricity.
