Hello
I have purchased recently the new Samsung 860 EVO 250GB ssd to replace my old one. I'v read that its the best on the market for sata 3 conection, so when i compare it to my old ssd Kingston V300 60GB it does not make any difference at all although my OS, programs and games run now on my new Samsung drive. My reading 551, writings 518, random reads 62.500, random writes 57,617. Does that mean that the money i have spend is worthless or maybe im bottlenecked by my PC (i3 7100, GTX 960, Gigabyte GA-H110M-DS2-CF, 12GB Adata ddr4 RAM in dual channel)
I hope you can help me THNKS

The difference between 300 MB/s and 550 MB/s is not going to be that noticeable in terms of feel of how the system performs. But the Samsung is performing as advertised and is a good brand with a good reputation. You could have gotten the Kingston which is rated around 400 MB/s read and saved 30 euro but it's not like you got a bad product, you maybe just had your expectations set a little high.

What's funny is I upgraded from a Samsung EVO SSD to a Samsung NVMe PCIe SSD thinking my boot time would be cut in half and things would open even more quickly. My read speeds are now at over 3000 MB/s, but you know what? I barely noticed the difference. But it's still fun to show off those speeds, I can tell my friends that my SSD is faster than their SSD... But that is about the only real benefit :)

I saw that the most noticable difference is when playing around with big files not opening programs and stuff, in booting times there is a 2 sek delay for the sata connections... BUT YOU HAVE STIL THE FASTEST DRIVE :)
