Hello. I accidentally broke my old ssd where my OS was located. So I managed to buy a new one and install a new OS system on there. But It doesn't seem to work well with my other hard drives. I can see they are on my computer through disk management. But there are only files, no real programs.
Btw. I installed 8.1, as I had before the incident.
What can I do?

Thanks

Basically the old drives are just storage now as far as the new Windows installation on the SSD is concerned.
If you previously had programs like Office installed on the old SSD you will need to reinstall those programs on the new SSD too.
A lot of people install programs to a different hard drive than their Windows is installed on and if this is the case with you, you will still need to reinstall those programs, you would just need to change the install directory to one of your other drives like you did originally.

The newly-installed OS doesn't know anything about the programs installed on the other HDD in the other OS. You'll need to reinstall your programs.

I can try. So my I have had all my programs on a Kingston HDD i believe, and my OS on a Kingston SSD. But last week i was cleaning and my computer fell and the ssd broke. So i bought the exact same SSD and i managed to install the old OS system from an USB thumbdrive. After I did I can't seem to open any programs from the old, well-working HDD. I can acces the folders and all, but all the files in there are unopenable.

Maybe this clarifies thing a bit. But I was just hoping you guys knew some smart trick I can do in order to prevent to format my HDD and download all the programs all over again.
