Hey guys,

I am trying to replicate this so I can have a computer to have on the go. Because of recent GPU price spikes, however, I want my case to be from the Xbox One, and not the S, so I can fit my current GPU into this case with relative ease. The only issue is that I cannot find a place to buy JUST the case for the xbox one, and I really don't want to have to buy a working one just to throw out the internals. I have done about 20 minutes of looking around and gamersrepair.com is the only place I see where they even sell these things. But they are sold out right now and I don't know when they restock. If someone would be helpful for me and find a site where I can buy a reasonably cheap and not-damaged case (maybe around $40?) online, it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Thing is there are few xbox one failiures so they won't just be available. Why not just get a regular mitx console style case.

In any case a console case or broken console will end up costing more than just 40$. Best you can do is go on ebay/local used site.

OK, let's say I can't find an Xbox One Case in the next few weeks. What case would be similar in volume and airflow, assuming that my budget is under $50-60? The reason I was thinking of the Xbox case was just because of the "coolness factor" of saying hey, its an Xbox! just kidding, its a PC! and because of the price. But if there is a relatively cheap alternative I think I will be satisfied.

UPDATE: I wanted to also mention that I plan on swapping GPUs between this PC and my current one. This one will be my "travel one." The GPU is about 9.5 inches long (EVGA 970 SC)

The cheapest case I could find that isn't bad and is console sized is the fractal desig node 202 for around the 70$ mark. This one will also fit your larger gpu.

Cheap and itx are 2 words that simply do not go togheter. Because it's smaller it needs more engineering to make sure everything works + unlike generic atx towers there isn't really a common blueprint cheaper case makers can copy from.
