Bit on a noob on this! I have an FX8320 at 3.5ghz that i wanted to overclock to 4ghz, i think i have done it ok but i wanted to check something?

My motherboard is a ASUS M5A99FX pro r.20 so i know it has all the over clocking features, however, when i went to the advanced setting in BIOS and selected manual for the AI overclock tuner, the ratio box for the CPU was set to auto and wouldn't let me click it to change it, but i could disable the AMD Turbo option. So instead i went to the D.O.C.P option which let me change the ratio to 20.0 and again disabled the Turbo option.

It all registers at 4ghz when i boot the system and on CPU-Z so I'm just checking that D.O.C.P is ok to do this in, as every guide i see can change it in manual.

I might try to boost it a little further if so, as i have a Kraken x42 cooler and the CPU is running at 50degrees on load and about 20-25 on idle.

I've seen most people don't have any issues at 4ghz, i just use the computer for gaming so i tested by playing Assassins Creed Origin for 4hrs as i know its really CPU heavy and that's about much as my CPU load is going to get, it all ran fine.

My main question was if the D.O.C.P option in BIOS was ok to do the CPU ratio change as it was locked to auto in manual for some reason?
