Hello!
I'm in need of some assistance and wisdom.
I recently sold an I7 3250m cpu from a dead motherboard Lenovo G580, the problem is the buyer is telling me that the cpu is defective, that when he attempts to install the HD4000 graphic drivers while in windows 10 pro (clean install) the system freezes and he has to do a hard reboot. While claiming that with its original 3rd Gen I5 no such thing happens.
Also the driver is auto installed either by Windows10 or by the Lenovo driver update app. (The new system is a Lenovo T430)
My question is if this is a driver (software) issue or can it a be a problem with the CPU?
As anyone heard or had a similar problem? The google searches didn´t return any results, just discussions on drivers, driver installation order etc... Could a stress test (Furmark) be done without installed drivers to confirm a CPU hardware fault? Any other ideas?
Thank you.
