Hi, I'm relatively, but not entirely new, to building PC's and I've run into a problem that really has me annoyed. I recently upgraded my motherboard, changed my case, and got a couple new fans and after I installed everything on my PC I'm getting a problem. Once a press the power on button, the LEDs light up and everything starts for a second but then immediately turns off. I've checked for bent pins, used my older motherboard to see if the new one was faulty, tried unplugging all extra things to see if one of them was causing it, but all to no avail. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I've tried taking it out and reinstalling it just to make sure I didn't have any loose screws or anything like that.

Can do, I'll report back once I paper clip it.

Is it "one second" or actually closer to "four seconds?" The former suggests a short or power problem, and the later suggests a problem with the power switch staying closed, which will cause the PC to shut off again. That's a quick test; disconnect the power switch and briefly short the power switch pins with a screwdriver or paperclip. If it stays on, the switch or its wiring could be the problem, such as a frayed wire that is shorting to the case.
It sounds like you've already checked this, but make sure there are no standoffs installed where there is NOT a corresponding mounting hole in the motherboard.

It's around 1 second the fans barely have any time to start before everything shuts off again.
