best flash drives

I have seen a lot of negative comments regarding Flash drives, can anyone recommend a good brand to purchase, im looking for a 32gb or 64gb and is 3.0 better than 2.0

Klevv, SanDisk, Adata, Transcend and Kingston make some solid flash drives. What sort of a budget do you have and where would you like to purchase it from(preferred site)?

budget not an issue, just something solid and reliable. would probably purchase from amazon as i have prime.

If by 'good' you mean fast, you may want to try something like a Lexar P20, 200+MB/s write speed, 400+MB/s read.

Yeah, an exercise in looking at all the available models on Amazon and hoping they have performance specs.

For stocking stuffers and general use I like these:

They aren't the fastest, but they aren't terribly slow. They are pretty small though, barely over the width of the USB ports.

As InvalidError points out, if you want fast make sure you look at the Read and Write speeds. I have USB 3.0 drives that are barely faster than a 7200 RPM hard drive when it comes to read/write. Rule of thumb, cheap ones are not going to be the fastest. I just bought a Patriot Rage 2 128GB drive that has over 400 read but it cost $50.

I have a few Kingston DataTraveler 3.0 drives and these aren't meaningfully faster than my USB2 drives, a bit disappointed with that but I got them on sale for pretty cheap and mostly use them to dump images and raw data from my oscilloscopes which are much slower at writing anyway so the drive's performance doesn't matter much.
