Hi, i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to PC's and upgrading and all the complexities of PC building, but i'm going to be upgrading soon and i'd like to know a few things.

My current build is:
i5 6600 3.3 ghz
ASUS H170M-E D3
6GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 650 Ti

I am playing PUBG mainly which runs on average at 40-50 fps but has CONSTANT fps drops and stutters, I can fix the FPS drops if I change the page file to a small size but the game crashes mid game if I do this with a low video memory error.

I am looking to get a stable 100fps with the settings on low and i'd also like to be able to play the game in 1920x1080 resolution instead of the 1280x800 i play on right now.

I'd also like to add that I am thinking about getting 16GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM but I would like to know which MHZ I should get and also if DDR4 is better for my PC.

Thanks in advance.

You cant use 2133 memory and run it at that speed. I would also buy low voltage memory.

This would be a nice upgrade.

Your motherboard doesn't support ddr4 ram, only ddr3. If you want better resolution you will have to get a better GPU. The 1060 6gb, like Zerk suggested would be a big improvement over the 650ti and it's not too expensive either. The stuttering and FPS drops would probably improve if you had more ram. 16gb would help alot.

Thanks, guys, I have about £500 coming in in the next month that I can put towards upgrading, is it worth getting the Dominator Platinum DDR3 2133MHZ RAM first, or should I wait a little longer and buy the 1060 6GB? I was thinking about waiting to buy a GPU now that Bitcoin is going downhill and the new Nvidia cards will be released soon. Maybe the 1080's would drop in price then, but maybe i'm wrong.

1060 is about £260 and 1080 £530 at the moment depending on brand etc. The 1060 is an excellent card, really recommend it for price to performance. I don't think the prices will come down straight away, might be a few months while the 2000 series nvidias take hold.

Could always try this:

Ram and GPU for about £548.

let me put it this way if you choose your ram upgrade over the graphics card you wouldn't be doing better in the resolution of the game.
I would definitely get that 1060 6gb. That is a huge upgrade, and you'll benefit from that longer than you'll have to be stuck at 1280x800 the next month or two. :D

Get at least 8Gb of ram total and change your GPU but don't count on getting a stable 100 FPS, I just tried it with my 1070 and I do get over 110-120+ most of the time at the LOW settings but there are some dips in the 80s depending if you go over a mountain or even depending on the amount of players are around.
