Hi,
So I want to buy a new CPU(AMD CPU Bristol Ridge Athlon X4 950 3.80 GHz,it's kinda old, I know). I'm wondering if I buy that CPU,could I place it on my motherboard? My motherboard has socket LGA 775 and this processor has socket AM4. If I can't place that CPU on my motherboard, can you please recommend best CPUs with 4 cores 3.00+ GHz for this motherboard?(My motherboard is Acer G45T/G43T)

Sure you can place it on your motherboard just as easily as you could place a donut. But the effects might be about the same.

If you are already aware that the socket is different.... Why are looking for a modern processor for an very ancient socket 775? There are no good CPU upgrade path for 775.

A quick search gives me info that says a Core 2 Quad is as good as that board can handle. I'd suggest a Core 2 Quad Q8400 on the low end, or a Q9550 on the high end.

One big warning though. If this is an Acer computer then you should check the Acer documentation for a list of supported CPUs before you buy anything. Companies like Acer might not allow their motherboards to support every type of CPU that the socket accepts. In this case you have the 775 socket so your only choices are CPUs for that socket AND that are supported by the Acer bios.

One last thing, you mention wanting '4 cores 3.00 GHz', just understand that not all quad cores are equal. If you have a piece of software that requires a quad core, it might mean a modern quad core. There are modern dual cores with hyperthreading that are faster than those older Core 2 Quads. The point being even if you did get a quad core for that motherboard, it might not be enough. It's hard to say without knowing more details on how you will use it.

I want this CPU for gaming. That's why I want it to be quad core and 3,00+ GHz.
I was also thinking about Intel core 2 quad extreme qx9770,but it is way more expensive than the amd athlon x4 950 3,8 GHz(at the price of one extreme I can afford new GPU and the AMD x4).That's why I don't want the extreme qx9770.
Also, can you tell me how do I check if Acer bios accepts Amd athlon X4?Cause my friend has this CPU and it is working very well on his PC,and we have almost the same PCs(he just has this CPU).I will be happy if I find out that I actually can fit AMD X4 3,80 GHz in my motherboard.

In answer to your question:
No, that will not work. Ever.
AMD CPU and Intel motherboard. Not in this universe.

According to this site:
ECS G43T-M (V1.0A) processor support and specifications
Best CPU you can place in your motherboard socket is Core2 Quad Q9550. But this is a very old socket from year 2006 and almost 12 years old. You should consider upgrading to something better even second hand I5/I7 second generation and above will be significant boost and with decent GPU (GT 1030 or better) you will be able to play even the most demanding games maybe at lower resolution and details but they will be still playable. With your current socket most of the games from the last few years will not run or they will be unplayable.

Well they actually did work in this universe but it was another time long ago. Like the 486 and earlier.
