Hello good people, I am having an issue with installing a brand new western digital sata harddrive into a desktop computer that has an Asus P8B75-M/CSM motherboard. When I boot from the original microsoft windows 7 home premium 64 bit dvd, the installation window pops up and ask me if I am doing an upgrade or custom so of course I choose custom and then it tells me that there are no drivers found to start the install. There is no raid controller driver on the new harddrive to start the installation. Can someone please help me find a driver for this HDD? I have ran around and around in circles online chasing so many different links to the point that I am exhausted and still cannot find what I need. I am certain that I will have to use a USB flashdrive or other to install the raid controller driver but just cannot find where to download. Thank you very very much for any help with this.

I just fixed or found out my answer but wow did it take some time, amazing that I have not ever had this issue before... Ok, so what I did is BOOT to BIOS and in the advanced mode, I set the sata setting from IDE to ACHI and it automatically listed and disabled everyone of the sata ports on the motherboard and so on the sata port that I had the dvd I enabled it and on the sata port that had the new harddrive I enabled it.. saved changes and exited BIOS and started the installation over again, the window pops up and asked for upgrade OR custom install and I chose custom and then the HDD had the HDD listed, I clicked it and the installation began with not issues. I now know what to do in the future and maybe this will help someone else...

Update:

So I ran the installation disk as stated above and everything installed perfectly. I did go back and reset the sata setting back to IDE after the installation was complete and no problems at all. Worked for me and maybe this will help someone too. Thanks guys.
