DDR3 Vs. DDR2

When you are looking at adding memory to your computer, which one do you turn to first? What are the differences between DDR3 and DDR2 memory, and is one of them inherently better than the other one is? I’m curious of the thoughts of those of you that have modified computers or built your own, as I’m planning to do one or the other very soon.

well ddr2 is dead, was viable 12 years ago. DDR3 is on its way out the door as both Intel and AMD are both using DDR4 ram now.

It's strictly based on what your motherboard supports. Very few actually support more than one version of DDR (not to be confused with graphics card GDDR memory).

all ddr dont use the same pin out so ddr2 qont work on drr 3 or 4 motherboard all so get new system with ddr 4 parts .
