Hi, everyone, I'm looking to get myself a new graphics card I've only got around £280 to spend so just wondering what you guys would recommend. I have looked at the following cards below.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC 4 GB https://goo.gl/71XeL5

Asus Cerberus GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Edition 4GB https://goo.gl/Ci5Dor

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 Ti WINDFORCE OC 4G https://goo.gl/V9WqFc

MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB OC https://goo.gl/4Js55s

My Build:
CPU: Intel i5 4690k.
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.
PSU: EVGA 650w GQ.
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB KHX1600C10D3/8GX.
Hard Drive: WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 ATA Device 1TB.
SSD: Samsung EVO 850 250GB.
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A Intel 1150 ATX Gaming Motherboard.
Case: Corsair 330r Titanium.

Thanks,
Peter.

Go with the MSI card because it has better cooling and it is cheaper. The EVGA card is a mini card and they do not cool as well as full size cards. Additionally, the MSI card is cheaper. So the MSI will give you better performance for a cheaper price. It is really a no brainer.

Honestly, I would get the cheaper of the 3 cards you selected except for the EVGA card. The chips inside are all made by Nvidia, all you are paying more for is cooling and all of those cards will cool about the same. I would just not get a mini card (such as the EVGA SC selected) as it wont cool as well as the full size cards you selected.

Remember, the 1050ti is a budget card and you will only get 60fps at medium settings. Your budget is very close to getting a 1060 6gb which will be a big step up form the 1050ti.

If that is too much you could also go for the 1060 3gb which would still be a lot better than the 1050ti.

It is highly recommended for people on a budget to wait for Nvidia's next GPU flagship release this year. The GTX 1060 and 1050 TI will become obsolete very fast. Much quicker than people would assume. Keep in mind, the 1060 is similar performance to the GTX 970, and the 970 is very close to being unable to handle 60 FPS on high/very high detail in most games, and the 1050 TI is similar to the GTX 960, which in my opinion is already below the 60 FPS average.

Obsolete? The 1060 will get the same fps today as it will this summer. If Nvidia releases a new GPU this summer, it will be at least fall and probably winter until anyone can get their hands on them. And I am not even talking about the price they will bring.

Additionally, the 1060 is closer to the 980 in performance than the 970.

If the release was in a month, then yes, I would say wait. But we dont even know if Nvidia will release a GPU this summer let alone this year. There will always be something on the horizon. After Volta or whatever Nvidia will be rolling out Navi will be around the corner. Might as well wait for that too.

I said it is very close to becoming obsolete. It is not obsolete yet. But the performance it offers once the new Flagship cards arrive, will be matching the performance of the high end cards that will be 2 generations old. GTX 960/970/980.

If someone came and asked if they should buy a GTX 760/770/780 in January 2017, I bet that wouldn't of been a good decision to make either.

Yeah, I dont understand your logic here. If this guy asked this question in 2017 I would have recommended the same 1060. Because nothing in its class has been released and it will be a long time till we see any next gen GPUs.

Hi, I'm still a little confused I don't know which one to get right now if I buy the cheapest one I'm just wondering if it would do just as good. I haven't a clue about graphics cards.

Of the four GPUs you selected, I would go with this one.

https://www.ebuyer.com/780605-msi-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-4gt-oc-graphics-card-gtx-1050-ti-4gt-oc

The chip inside each of those GPUs were made by Nvidia. The companies (MSI, EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte) just design the cooling for the chip. I would not go with the EVGA because it is a smaller card that wont cool as well. The cooler you can keep the chip, the better. The other cards cooling are all equal to each other, so there is no reason to get a more expensive card because you will get the same performance.

Remember, the chip inside it what does everything and they all have the same chip made by Nvidia.

He picked that card because it was cheapest, and it really doesn't matter which 1050 TI you buy, they all perform and pretty much cool the same. So, the cheapest one is the best deal. Honestly, not even high end video cards like the 1080 TI really require expensive cooling. It's always just best to pick the cheapest.
