Hello, as the title says, I'm looking for a way to change nvidia control panel resolution settings in one click.

The aim is to enable HDR just before starting a HDR game, then disable it after.

Currently, I cannot enable HDR on the fly when I'm using my native resolution of 3840x2160@8bit444.

So I need to manually change the resolution via nvidia control panel to 10 or 12 bit 422 to make it work.

I'd like it to be easier.

Anyone knows a way ?

FYI when set to auto and using HDMI, limited is the default selection. Nvidia likely did this for HDTV users. When using a Display Port connection (most PC monitor users), full is the default selection on auto.
Lots of complaints out there about Win10 and HDR implementation. This is a handshake problem between Nvidia and Microsoft and neither apparently care to work together to make it a simplified process to turn HDR on or off between programs and color depth settings to get it to work. Apparently MS broke something on Creator's Update a few months ago which made things even more frustrating for users wanting to go back and forth between HDR enabled/disabled.

Since your monitor/TV is not native 10-bit, the only thing I can possibly see trying is creating a custom resolution that has all the settings for HDR compatibility and you can just click on that setting from the control panel when you want to go back and forth. I'm afraid there is no one click hot script option you can say map to a keyboard button. This is of course you already haven't created a custom setting for HDR to kick in.

Thank you, unfortunately I already tried that and nvidia doesn't even allow me to create custom resolutions. I even tried to connect the monitor using two HDMI cables and switching between those but for some reason it resets resolution and color settings everytime, forcing me to go through the whole process which takes more than 1 minute everytime and 10 clicks...
