I added 4gb ram and the pc doesn't even show bios

I bought new ram from a near by store with a worrenty
And installed it correctly in the ram slot on the mother board. Before I installed it I had two 2gb rams and whan I added one 4gb one it didn't even show anything on the screen.

Plz help if you have an easy way of fixing this maybe to remove ram and do something in the bios. Idk

Remove the old sticks and install only the new 4GB stick, keeping the other slot empty and see if the system recognizes the new memory.

If it does not work, try it one the second slot, keeping first slot empty.

If it fails to work in either of the slots, it could be bad, you can get it replaced.

There is nothing to be done in BIOS when you upgrade RAM.
