I getting ready to upgrade to a Ryzen chipset and wanted to know is I will be able to use a Radeon r9 as a discrete graphics card?

Thanks,
Steve

Solution
Yes, you should have no trouble using that GPU. Technically, you would normally not worry about a discrete GPU with an APU...but since the equivalent non-APU Ryzens are a little more expensive, & you're just reusing your old GPU (especially one more powerful than the APU's integrated graphics), it's not a bad choice.
