Unplugging a fan connected to the PSU

I have a K281 cooler master case and the front fan started suddenly to be more loud and I've made sure that its making this noise because its speed is too high and it is connected directly to the power supply. So i wanted to know how to unplug it from the power supply as i cant see the cable to unplug and connect it to the motherboard to control its speed.Thanks.

Look for a 3/4 pin to molex adapter (google for images).

I can't seem to find it but i can see a opening in the psu where many cables are going inside, could the fan wire be inside the psu?

Nope. It's connected either to the motherboard, or to a molex adapter.

Yes this is it , anyway i found the cable and it seems too short to plug to the motherboard and i decided to remove it
