Hello there, i got my first pre build pc 2 years ago, since then every money i got, i used it on my Pc for upgrades and now i dont really know if im doing things right or not. I just need somebody to tell me if i have a healthy pc/without problems or not, like bottleneck etc.

My pc spec:
Asus gtx 1060 6g strix (not oc version)
i5 6500 cpu 3.20 Ghz
Msi h170 gaming m3
8 gb RAM (might upgrade to 16 gb)
1 tb hdd

Thank you for your time.

No power supply. 0/10.

*I don't mean to bash your system. You've got a solid gaming system but you didn't list the power supply. Since it's a prebuilt it probably isn't the best quality, so if you can find out and let us know what the exact model of your power supply is it may be the next thing you should upgrade. Power supply is one of the most important components in a gaming PC.

You really shouldn't see any bottlenecking to speak of, but of course there are some games that just require more CPU than others and may hold your performance back by the slightest amount. Nothing I would worry about though.

That's a fine pc for gaming. More ram never hurts, although you probably don't need 16gb yet. In time, games will undoubtedly use more than 8gb regularly, but that day isn't here yet. I think an SSD is a worthwhile upgrade.

An SSD will not improve framerate. If you get 60fps in a game with a mechanical hard drive, you'll get 60fps with an SSD. What it helps with is anything that involves reading from or writing to storage. Everything loads faster, and everything tends to respond faster. I use a 120gb SSD for the OS, programs, and a couple of smaller games. I use a 1tb mechanical hard drive for everything else. This system works great and an SSD that small is relatively cheap. Of course, there's no reason you couldn't get a bigger SSD if you want one and can afford it.

I have a 650 watt power supply, tbh i left nothing from the pre built in my current build, ive hit the point where the only component i kept from it, was the power supply.
Im sorry, i forgot to add it in.
