Can I boot up my IBM PC from another PC using the same windows XP OS? Can I hard wire the two PC's togetyher using an ether-net cable and boot this IBM up?

You may not have understood the problem bubble head, both machines have licensened copied of XP but the IBM has an issue in the boot sector on start up and will not boot to my windows desk top. I think the cure might be an external boot disc on a floppy or memory stick but I have both machines side by side now and wanted to know if I can make it an easier task by a hard wire connection and avoid the time with making boot discs, so does anyone have an idea?

It still doesn't work that way. You cannot boot one machine from another. With all the time spent here you could have already created a boot disc using the working machine (assuming the exact same version of Windows) and been done.
