New build won't turn on with GPU

Hello,

I just bought a few upgrade parts for my rig.
I bought new Motherboardn CPU, GPU and harddrive

I have this:
Asus z97-a
16gb ddr3 ram
geforce 1070 gtx msi gaming
Intel I7

I kept my case and power supply
Antec 300 Case with
coolermaster 700watt power suply

this is the scenario

the rig starts and installs everything without the GPU installed. I use the onboard VGA card
It also starts and works perfect with my old VGA card
It starts perfect with the msi card installed in the pci slot, but without any powercables connected.

BUT
As soon a sI connect either one power cable (the 6 pin or 8 pin, or both)
the lights of the pc goes on, the fans rotate once, no sound, no nothing (light on msi GPU also turns on briefly)

Can i asume that my power suply isn't enough?
I ram through the sticky and checked everything

I have al this combined with 4 HDDs
Psu is a
cooler master rs-700-asaa-a1

I hope you didn't do that when the psu is on during the hardware installation?
always try to connect everything pc is off. then turn on to avoid damage to pc internals.

otherwise i would say, check your 1070 pci-e pins, are any of them damaged? maybe the GPU is defective, i don't think it's your psu, because when it boots, it doesn't require full power, even if your psu is not strong enough, it should crash when you starts to increase GPU loads. (playing game or benchmark)

Of course I didn't do that. Always switch of psu and pull the cord.

I tryed switch ING on the pc today (without gpu) and it also didn't start now... Just like half a sec
Things is, I bought these items from a fiends of mine, so I know they work....

graphic card is a geforce 1070 gtx msi gaming only 1

I tryed different things:
Now i can start with the CDROm and 1 HDD disconnected.
If I reconnect the HDD the system sometimes won't start
When I connect the CDROM it mostly won't start, but sometimes it will.

Graphic card is 100% no go.
