I currently have an old desktop with a Pentium G645 and a GT730 with an SSD.
When I firstly put the SSD in it, the desktop was a decent gaming desktop but now it's starting to get slower and it's because of the CPU. On normal browsing, the CPU is almost at 100% all the time and even though it still can game, it's laggy and it can only handle the game, nothing else.
After thinking about it, I decided this needs an upgrade and I went to look for some I5's on my country's used shops and I found a I5 3470T and it's good for my budget and it also looks good in specs. Still a dual core but with 4 threads. But I still have some doubts since it only has 2 cores.
So my question is if this CPU is worth the 25-30$ upgrade or if I should get a better I5 of the same generation like the I5-3340 for 50$.
This desktop isn't supposed to handle demanding games, just "light" games like LOL, CS:GO and that kind of games.
I also bought 4 more GBs of RAM to have 8GB.
Thanks!
