Motherboard temps giving weird reading

Just built a new pc, everything went well upon booting up and installing windows...except that the fans are going at full speed. Upon checking both hwmonitor and corsair link, both are saying that temps are good on everything except for "motherboard temp 4" for the motherboard under corsair link and "TMPin 6" under hwmonitor, with both reading at 118 degrees c. This seems wrong to me, since everything else (including the other motherboard sensors) are reading 36-39 degrees C.

Any ideas on how to fix? I'm willing to bet it's a faulty sensor but my main annoyance is the full speed fans.

These are bad readings. Link actually uses the same CPUID SDK as HWMonitor so it's not surprising that they both have the same incorrect reading. There isn't a fix for this; however it's safe to ignore the readings.

Gonna guess that this is an Asus motherboard as they seem to have the funkiest readings.

It's an Asrock motherboard. Thanks!
