Recently just bought Far Cry 5, ran the benchmark and was told my system could easily run ultra settings. The problem i'm having is the game plays smoothly, then all of a sudden about 5 minutes later it will freeze for a second and then continue like nothing happened? any ideas?

PC Specs:
gigabyte z170 gaming k3 mobo
Intel i5 7600k
MSI 1060 6gb
Corsair Vengence 8gb 2400mhz

Also check your temps to see if something is overheating and needing to throttle. However sizzling's comment is the most likely thing thats happening since far cry 5 eats ram.

Far Cry 5 just released and most likely the game, like Far Cry 4 in its early days it could be a month or so before bugs are ironed out. For now its pot luck and why it's doing this would most likely be software or driver related.
