New to pc dont know what to upgrade

Solution
The graphics card is the weakest component, the GTX 1060 3GB is not suitable for 4K gaming. If you're serious about 4K gaming then the GTX 1080ti is the current go to card.....but when you see the price of them, you may have second thoughts. What is your budget?

Unfortunately the highest I can go is probably $600 :/

Ok, I assume you're talking $600 USD, if so, then that's enough for the GTX 1080 (non ti). Your current card would cost you from $280-400 depending on the model, so it has some value on the used market....especially if it's brand new. I'm not sure of the best place to sell the card, someone else may know, if you could get ok money for it + your $600 then you may yet be able to afford a 1080ti.

Look, you've good a great CPU on a good motherboard, it should be a really good gaming PC, the only thing it's missing is a really good graphics card to go with it.

thank you for your input and yes sorry $600 USD and for the gtx 1080 would I need to change the power supply?

A good quality 600w PSU would be fine for a i5-8600K and a GTX 1080. I have no idea what the quality PSUs Cyberpower have, from the other comment, they can't be that good. If that's the case, then you should really replace it with a better unit, otherwise you're risking damage to your other components.

The specs say it's a 600W power supply. Assuming it's not very cheaply made, it should be enough and have the connector you'll need. That depends on the model of videocard you choose of course.

If it was me, I'd game with this system as is, at 1080p and scale that up to 4k since I'm assuming you have/will get a 4k monitor. Then wait for later this year when the next batch of videocards comes out. The reason is right now 4k gaming is in its early stages. You could game at 4k with GTX 1080 and 1080 Tis, but it's not ideal. Plus prices right now are inflated too. By the time the next round of cards come out, you'll have better choices and hopefully more reasonable prices.
