Hi There.

I newly built my system yesterday with below processor motherboard combo -

Ryzen 3 2200g

Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3

BIOS Version F22

After completing the build and installing windows 10 pro i realised that the front and back 3.5 mm audio jack are not working at all. In system tray playback devices only my Nvidia HDMI is shown. I installed realtek audio drivers and all the other drivers available on the gigabyte website support section for this particular motherboard.

I have to plug in my speakers to my monitor for audio as only my Nvidia HDMI is enabled in playback devices(there are multiple entries for same nvidia hdmi audio in playback devices) Please help. This is my first build and I'm in problem.

Solution
- Recommend uninstalling nVIDIA HDMI audio driver if you are not using HDMI. It is known to cause issues with Realtek.

- The lack of sound appears to be a driver issue or OS sound configuration issue. One way to confirm this is to boot to a Linux Live USB/CD. If sound works there then you know it's a driver issue within Windows.

No. Realtek audio is not listed there. Only amd hd audio is listed. Which is hdmi audio output as far as i know.

I don't know why it's not showing up in your Device Manager. Can you try installing the Realtek HD Audio Driver - Version [PG454] once again.

That is possible. If you have just bought this motherboard, contact Gigabyte Technical Support on their website and explain your problem. They will likely give you suggestions on how to fix the problem or offer to RMA the motherboard.

Yes i have bought it on Saturday only. I contacted the local support center. They told me to visit tomorrow. They will check and if it's not working then they will give an immediate replacement. But what if it works at their support centre? How likely is that possible? Installing drivers is independent of motherboard if I'm not wrong. Please guide with the RMA procedure as well.
P.S. I will only be carrying my motherboard to the support center. Not the whole system.

Is this a Gigabyte support center you are talking about, or a local computer store.

It is an authorized gigabyte service center

If they are an authorized Gigabyte service center then you probably don't need to do anything on line, they will tell you everything you need to know.

If the motherboard works at the support center at least you know the problem is somewhere else. Perhaps Windows 10 did not install properly. And yes the driver installation is independent of the motherboard, they are for the operating system installed on your computers hard drive.

Apparently the motherboard worked at the service center. The guy at the service center did a clean install of Windows 10 and on top of it installed realtek audio drivers available at gigabyte support website. After installing the audio drivers, there was another sound icon at system tray which was labelled as 'realtek high definition audio manager' wherein he could enable/disable audio devices. So i came back and did a clean install of Windows 10 and installed the same drivers which he shared with me in pendrive. But no luck.!! Only hdmi output is coming. No separate icon for realtek audio manager.!

Can the problem be associated with my processor by any chance? I took only my motherboard at the service center not the entire rig. Please advice.

I'm not sure why you are having this problem, but i don't think it has anything to do with the processor.

One thing you can try, in "Control Panel > Sound > Playback" devices, right click on one of the Nvidia HDMI devices and see if "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" are check-marked. Perhaps your Speakers and Headphones are hidden.
