Prebuilt gaming pc advice

Firstly, yes I could build one myself, yes it would be cheaper, no I dont want to do that.

Ok, so, budget is approx £2.5k.

I'm currently looking at the Corsair one pro ti, Alienware Aurora r7 (2.6 on amazon). Though I'm open to suggestions.

Between these two (mostly looking on amazon atm) there's about £200 in the top end. Which seems to be for 16gb extra ram in the R7. Cool. Now, both these systems seem to have an option that's about £400 less for a gtx 1080 8GB. I guess my main question really is, is that cost worth it?

Upgrades wise the R7 will be easier, but I'm hopping it'll be years before it's necessary.

Is there a prebuilt that should be a contender here? I'd prefer quiet, I'd prefer a smaller form factor. But, I'm open to suggestions. The pro ti was £2100 a week ago, but went up £350 and my funds clear this week. So it's kinda stopped being a no brainer now.

Thoughts?

Oh, I'll be playing things like Vermintide 2, hunt showdown, and whatever else we want to play for our channel. I'll also be doing video editing and such.

Corsair One would be my vote. Quality unit from my friends POV and great all around.

However, at that price point, you are paying a premium for the build quality of the Corsair. It is stuck with a generation old chip and has 16 gigs of RAM vs the 32 others have, but to be fair, these are much bigger PC's.

I would not go Aurora as they are not exactly upgrade friendly, while, from what I have heard, the One is pretty friendly to upgrades.

Other contenders (if you do not mind size):

Has some really good specs (1080Ti, 8700k, 16 gigs) and comes with 3 x 24" monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset. Good deal.

Thing I would worry about with prebuilts are their PSU's, not the greatest of qualities.
