hey guys !! i want to switch my ram for better and put some more !! i was wondering if my motherboard could take any higher frequencies ,,, !! heres my rig

intel 7700 3.6 ghz
mth board.... asus h110m-E m,2
windows 10
8gb ram kingston 2133
1070 8 gb gpu
ssd 500gb

i want to put this ram in
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232476&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=G.Skill_Memory-_-20-232-476-_-Product

would it be possible ,,,,, would it be worthful ?

my main question after this would be if i put higher frequence (on my ram) would my motherboard compress the frenquency of the new ram to remain at 2133 ?? so buying 3000hz would be worthless .. ????

thanks a lot for the help and i apologies for the poor english ! im actualy french

assuming you have 1 stick of 8gb, i think adding a second stick of the same kingston memory will be the prefer

less compatibility issue.

otherwise, it's probably better to get a 2x8gb kit with 2133 mhz ddr4 memory.

The H110 chipset is limited to 2133MHz, so spending extra on speeds >3000MHz would be a waste.

Outside of certain workloads, the difference between speeds can be negligible anyway -- especially when upgrading.
Ie if building new, the added few dollars/euro/pounds etc can make sense, but in an upgrade, not as much.
