Need help picking a water cooler for I7 8700K

Hello everyone!

I'm going to buy a new gaming rig and i want to water cool my CPU, but i have never tried water cooling before.

Also i think im going to Overclock my system

This is the specs i'm looking at buying:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K Processor
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz
Power: Corsair CX Series 750 Watt
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 (have it already)
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB

I have looked at the ML240R/ML240L from Cooler Master. I would pref if there is RGB ligthing but its not a must.

If you have any suggestions on what water cooler i could buy i would be greatfull or on any of the other gear.

I've always been a Corsair fanboy. Their logo when your room is dark just looks fantastic, you know... I feel captain Ahab. I've used the h100i for what, 4 years now, and never had any problems. Aside with some nice Noctua Nf-f12s, you'll be set for life. The corsiar h115i is the newest model of this cooler, looks even prettier.

Im not really a fan of anything i just want something thats looks amazing and will keep my cpu cool and safe. Do you know if there is RGB in the fans or can i replace them with some i have?

None of the original Corsair fans have any leds, and nor do the Noctua fans. But the pump has srgb for the logo. If you have other fan solutions you're more than welcome to use them if they're 120mm.

Not much review is available about the 240R as it is just released. Should be the same unit with addressable RGB.

I have looked at the H115i cooler and i dont think its the best, if i would to stress test my cpu the temp would hit the low 80's isnt that too high?

The Kraken x61/x62 are good units you can look at. If you want pro level, Thermaltake Flo Ring is a good unit.

Being a successor of the h100i gtx I doubt it. My cpu temps (i7 4770k @4.4ghz) never went about 65c when playing games even like GTA

What would you choise? I like the looks of Thermaltake Flo Ring and the ML240R, the Kraken, in my opinion looks boring, but they are all within my buget

h100i sounds like an airplane taking off
