This one's a little wack.
When gaming the PC loses connection to the monitor.
I am still able to voice chat via Discord and can still hear the game.
System Specs:
i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz (has been overclocked for a year + without issue, I believe this to not be an issue. )
RX470 8GB @ Stock
16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz
Gigabyte Z170X Ultra Gaming
Masterwatt 650W PSU
Things I've ruled out:
Temperatures: both the CPU and GPU are on water, temperatures are well below the point of concern.
Power:
I. I replaced the PSU when this issue first arose as I thought my 500W wasn't cutting it. The problem has persisted.
II. I configured the Windows Power settings to high performance and turned off monitor auto sleep.
Monitor: I tried it with different monitors and the problem persisted.
My current theory is that there is a driver conflict somewhere. I disabled the Internal Graphics and the Audio Controller (as I use a Scarlet 2i2 and have no need for onboard audio) in BIOS and am currently testing it.
Any ideas? Anyone solved a similar issue?
Thanks in advance.
