Hi all,

I am currently building my second PC and am in need of help/suggestions.

I finished putting the components together and connected to my monitor to boot and install Windows. After pressing the On button on my case, the PC turns on for 15 seconds before turning off for 2-3 seconds and then turning on again and repeating until I switch off the power supply. Not sure what the issue is but I tried moving my RAM around the slots with no success. I suspect the power supply may be an issue but I'm unsure because the fans, hardrive, and lights all turn on when I initially turn the PC on.

The Build is:
AMD R5 2400G
Vulcan DDR4 3000
ASRock AB350M Pro4 AM4
Seasonic G-Series 550W
Seagate FireCuda 2TB SSHD

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated

Have a nice day

Solution
Assembling the system outside of the case on a non-conductive surface may help determining the cause. Since it is a new system, there may be a fault with one of the components. But look at simple causes first like a loose screw or loose connection.

My motherboard box labelled that it is ready for AMD R series CPUs and APUs and since I'm using an R5 APU I figured it would be updated to support the new AMD components but that could be the issue... I'm not sure how to get my hands on an older AMD Cpu that I could use to update the bios for my new APU though

Thanks so much for your help! Tomorrow I will reassemble the PC out of the case to see if it changes anything.

If the box was labeled as ready for new Ryzen CPUs then probably BIOS is correct. Anyway, if that is a problem, there is simple solution - see this https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/2Gen-Ryzen-AM4-System-Bootup.aspx
