Need help finding better desktop case

My current case for my computer is a Thermaltake Commander G42, and it is huge. Inside, the big killers I have are an MSI Gaming Pro Carbon z170A with Lepa dual 240mm liquid cooling radiator and Saphire dual slot full length RX470 GPU which require a bit of space clearly. I want to be able to put my computer on to my desk, so I need a much smaller space- but my personal budget on the changeover is $100-120.

I found the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO, but that one is also considerably big and I don’t know if there is something smaller/better out there.

Well in that "case"... hehe, I would go with the XB EVO. But only if you are sure you have enough room on your desk. The size of the XB EVO's footprint is about 17.4" by 16.7".

I did some research, and found that most people think that the XB EVO is the best compact full tower case. I found another case, the RIOTORO CR1080, but i'm not too familiar with RIOTORO, and the build quality didn't look that great. Also a question. Is the height of the case an important factor, or is it just the case's footprint that you're worried about?

It’s more of the smaller footprint physically. I have a 4tb hdd and 250gb ssd, so I won’t ever even need more storage bays. I have a whole compartment of my desk taken by my desktop and I want it up and on my desk (it’s annoying pulling it out, and it’s massive size/weight just from the case adds to that annoyance)
