push pull for silent computing?

Hi , got the coolermaster seido 240v for my i7700K , the thermals are great, never going over 72C (no overclock , got the CPU as a gift :D) but the fans are Very loud under high load. i can change the fan profile but i'd prefer not going over the 75c on high load( or am i too conservative on that front)
should i replace the two fans with better ones or add the two additional fans for push pull config? ( twice the fans at half the speed)
the objective here is better acoustics, not temperature.

It depends on the case, if any dust filter is present, and how thick the radiator and dense its fins are. A 240mm radiator should result in lower temps (low 60s under load for a 90-95W TDP processor). Not knowing any details, OP could also try and check CPU lid contact and maybe reapply thermal paste. Also let the pump run at max speed independent of the CPU temperatures!

I don't know if push-pull is that effective.

I'm running a push-pull config on my tower cooler, but honestly, I don't even think there's any difference.
My CPU (Ryzen 3 1200 stock speed) doesn't even go above 37°C. Even with just one fan.

I agree with you on keeping the temps under 75°C.
Both fan replacement and additional fans can help you lower the noise.
1) Extra fans would help you cope with air resistance of the radiator fins.
2) Better fans can do the same, but less fan blade area requires higher speed to create the same air pressure. If your present fans run silent at lower speeds (no coil noise), keep them and go back to point one.

My recommendations for radiator fans (please check availability and prices at your region):
Enermax Twister Pressure (UCTP12P), Enermax D.F. Pressure (UCDFP12P)
Cryorig QF120 Performance, Akasa Piranha (AK-FN072)
Noctua NF-F12 and Corsair ML series

wont it effect the life cycle?


already went with ARCTIC F12 PWM , got great reviews and were on stock on my local store.

doing a push pull or not will decide my next case ( fractal design's R6 if i do, define C if i don't) so i really need to figure this out :(

No, I run my AIO pump at max speed for more than 3 years now, with no problem.
A 25-30mm thick radiator should not require push pull, but if you have the space and extra fans laying around, go for it.

i'll try that tonight.
space wise - that's thats the only reason why i'm looking at the R6, the define series dont have room for push pull.
